Cultural Attache of the French Consulate in Guangzhou visited Sun Yat-sen University Press

On January 7, Ms. Pascale Vacher, Cultural Attache of the French Consulate in Guangzhou, visited Sun Yat-sen University Press. Xu Jin, President of Sun Yat-sen University Press; Xu Yao, Deputy Director of Office of International Cooperation & Exchange; Cao Gonghua, Assistant to President of Sun Yat-sen University Press; and Zeng Xiaoyang, Head of Department of French, School of Foreign Languages, met with the guest. With the theme of “the 50th anniversary of the establishment of China-France diplomatic relations”, the two sides held in-depth and extensive discussions on the general framework design, phased objectives and operational details of the publishing project. Ms. Pascale Vacher showed great interest in the publishing project, saying that she would coordinate the cooperation between Sun Yat-sen University Press and relevant publishers in France, and arrange a meeting between the representative in charge of the project at the French Embassy and Sun Yat-sen University Press to further refine the project and promote its implementation. Xu Yao said that the disciplines such as Literature, History, Philosophy and Medicine at SYSU rank among the top in universities nationwide. The University has the ability to implement the project, and will fully cooperate in the relevant work. Zeng Xiaoyang said that currently part of the publishing project was carried out orderly, more topics would be written as soon as possible, and hoped that the two sides will further communicate and coordinate to implement the relevant work.
