Notice for the Cultural Trip to Yunnan Province

In order to enhance the understanding of Chinese culture and enrich activities in the coming winter vacation, we are going to organize a cultural trip to Yunnan Province. All the international students are warmly welcome to the trip.

I  Time: January 18-22, 2014.

II Itinerary:

Day 1: January 18 (Sat.), 2014In the morning, we will leave the University for Baiyun International Airport by bus (the departure time will be announced later). Then we will fly to Kunming City (about 2.5 hours’flight). On arrival at Kunming, we will check in at a hotel.After lunch, we will visit the Stone Forest,one of the greatest natural wonders in the world.After dinner, please enjoy yourselves.

Day 2: January 19 (Sun.), 2014After breakfast, we will take a coach to Dali City (about 4 hours’ bus drive), and then check in at a hotel.   After lunch, we will visit the Butterfly Spring, which is located at the foot of Yunlong Peak in Cangshan Mountain in Dali City. We can have a view of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake on the way. Later on, we will visit Dali Ancient City and Foreigners’ Street.

Day 3: January 20 (Mon.), 2014   After Breakfast, we will have a boat-tour around Erhai Lake, while we will watch a traditional fishing performance by Bai Minority fishermen and ospreys.   After lunch, we will take a bus to Lijiang Ancient City (about 3.5 hours’ bus drive ). On arrival, we will check in at a hotel.

Day 4: January 21 (Tue.), 2014   After breakfast, we will visit Yulong Snow Mountain, and achieve the Yun Shan Ground（a lawn among the spruce forest） by cable cars, where a famous TV play “Yi Mi Yang Guang”, and the  Baishui River . Then we’ll go to visit the  Jade Water Village, the Yu Feng Temple and the Shu He Ancient Town . At last, we ‘ll come back to Lijiang Ancient City.

Day 5: January 22 (Wed.), 2014After breakfast, we will have a free activity: Enjoy taking a city-tour around the Lijiang Old City: the Square Street.After lunch, we will take a coach to the airport, and then return to Guangzhou by plane (about 3 hours’ flight).The pleasurable trip ends.

III Expenses

a.Full Chinese Government Scholarship Students / Full Scholarship Exchanged Students / Full Confucius Institute Scholarship students: RMB600/per person

b.Self-funded Students (including those partial scholarship and partial scholarship exchanged students and those who are supported by Foreign Governments Scholarship):  RMB4,180/per person

Ⅴ Time for RegistrationDecember 13th (Friday) – 18th (Wednesday), 2013.During this period, those who would like to join the trip please come to our office for registration and pay the fees.
